DSA Baron Communications Ltd. began life as Baron Communications and was founded in Calgary in 1987 by its namesake Cheryl Baron. The company grew over the next 13 years to become the largest independently owned media communications company in Alberta. In August of 2000, David & Mary Stanger, owners and founders of David Stanger & Associates Inc. (DSA) of Langley, British Columbia, assumed a majority ownership position of Baron Communications and in the process created a new company, DSA Baron Communications.
With the launch of Octane Media in Regina in 2003, and DSA Online in 2007, the DSA Network now has four offices in Saskatchewan, Alberta and British Columbia. Today the company maintains a full-time staff of 22 people across its four locations and that staff is complemented by a number of on-going “contract” employees.
DSA Baron clients enjoy the benefit of the hands-on expertise provided to them by the Calgary team, combined with the buying power of the full network of DSA clients. In addition, regular brainstorming and information-sharing sessions ensure that DSA Baron clients get access to the entire DSA Network team – one that is unrivalled in either experience or recognition in Western Canada. |
